The BNP members will not be banned from teaching.
This means the death to the education to generate the youths who will be accepted by and strong in the international world.
And this shows clearly the strong white supremacist may be found in the important positions in education in the UK, thereby enabling this kind of decision.
The BNP has beliefs including the Holocaust denial. There are also some people in the politics in Japan denying Nanjin massacre and the invasion of many countries by Japan in WWII. This may show arguably the high degree of democracy and freedom of speech for the country concerned but at the same time there are a certain number of the people with the similar dangerous beliefs and the country and media must attack them reducing them to a extreme minority and never letting them have any power.
The UK as many European countries had colonised for a long time many parts of the world including China and Africa slavalising the local peoples. There were the times in history when non-white people were considered just sub-human/animals. The white supremacy belief seems to have a very deep root in the UK society, which could be seen in the recent Australia with the notorious White Australia policy( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/White_Australia_policy ) similar to the policy in south Africa.
Btw, at the Paris Peace Conference in 1919 Japan proposed a racial equality proposal( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Racial_Equality_Proposal,_1919 ) but was denied by the USA and Australia which had the strong white supremacy policies. Japan proposed it because people with Japanese origin abroad were mistreated/discriminated/abused but the idea of the racial equality in such a time of the era was revolutional. Where is the creativity of Japan now? Japan needs to be creative and advanced in the international world for the peace and a better world.
英国で、白人至上主義を掲げる極右政党British National Partyに加盟していても、教職に就けるということになりました。今では殆どの国で蔑まれる人種差別者が教職につくということは、その国の教育の死を意味します。人種者別者の下で教育を受けた人間が世界で受け入れられる国際人になることは出来ません。
BNPの党首はNick Griffinというもともとホロコースト否定論者です。日本でも、南京大虐殺否定論者、日本の侵略戦争否定論者がいますが、このような人間が政界に存在できることはその国の民主性の高さ、言論の自由が保障されていることを示すともいえますが、その国にそのような危険思想を持つ人間が少なからず存在すること、そして、その国やメディアがこのような人間が国の政権を握らないように継続的に弾圧していかなければなりません。そのような人間と信条を共にする人間が教職に就くことは禁止されるべきです。
英国でのこのニュースの背景には、英国の教育界には、BNPの方針に共感する若しくは、そのメンバーが教育の中枢／権力層にいるということの証明のように思えます。奴隷制を強いてきて、中国やアフリカを含め世界の多くの部分を植民地にしてきた大英帝国、人種差別の根はそうとう深いですよ。インド人に対する虐待でインドとの政治関係まで影響を及ぼしているオーストラリア、人種差別で悪名高い南アフリカに白豪主義を長く抱えてきた国にもその影響の強さがみられます。
因みに、1919年のパリ講和会議（ http://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/パリ講和会議 ）で日本は人種差別撤廃案を出しています。しかし、アメリカやオーストラリアの反対に合い案を通せませんでした。日系人への差別の凄まじさから生まれた案でしたし、白人以外の人種を人間とは思わないような思想が主流の時代でしたから通りませんでしたが、案自体は素晴らしい。人類の平和の為、よりよき世界のため、日本はこのような時代に先駆けたリーダーシップをとらねばならないと思います。
